Taking Up With Immortals Is Always A Problem

As the snarky, orange-eyed demon from Noory and the Eternal Light says, “Taking up with immortals is always a problem.” Maybe not as big a problem as getting a book out on time when you’re juggling writer’s conferences, kids, multiple projects, and commitments that you swear you’re going to stop agreeing to—but still a problem. It’s a beautiful life, though, and I’m thankful for it. Sound familiar? I’m guessing we all juggle a million things with a dream tucked in among them. I’d love to hear what your dream is as well!

I’m beyond excited that Noory and the Eternal Light made it into the world, and today is Pub Day for this next book in the Wayward Saviors Series!

Here’s a little about Book Two:

Noory Abramson has found the love of her life in Saint Nicholas and meaningful work at a children’s shelter. Yet, as her wisecracking demon friend, Damascus says, “Taking up with immortals is always a problem.” Determined to stay with Nicholas forever, she sets out on a quest for immortality, and Damascus accompanies her as a bodyguard—annoying the hell out of Nick and her ancient disciple stepfather, John.

As a descendant of the Holy Family, even Noory’s hair is valuable and can be used for the most unsavory dark magic. Thus, knocking on the doors of witches, shamans, and other magical practitioners might not be the best idea. Worse, even the combined wisdom and strength of John and Nick’s nearly 4,000 years might not be enough to help her, when an even darker force offers her the allure of all she seeks—immortality through a power that might be stronger than all of them and will never let her go.

Yes, taking up with immortals is always a problem.

If you need to catch up, start with Book One in The Wayward Saviors Series, Nicholas Eternal.

Nicholas Theodoulos is supernaturally gifted at locating runaway or abducted children, but 1700 years of saving them—and sometimes failing—from the darkest of humanity has entombed his heart. When shelter manager Noory Abramson observes him grieving over the body of a young girl in a deserted Atlanta alley, she isn’t sure whether he is friend or foe but quickly realizes that his special powers may be the only thing that can help her when sixteen-year-old Grace goes missing from the shelter. However, Nick discovers a sacred tattoo on Noory’s wrist and concludes that she has a secret of her own: one that might lead him to redemption, and possibly love, for the first time in his existence.
